From caae649e02d2eae36557e9dfed957960826a8181 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Red Bear OS Builder Date: Mon, 27 Jul 2026 06:39:34 +0900 Subject: [PATCH] d-bus: kf6-kauth update FAKE-backend comment The kf6-kauth recipe.toml had a stale TODO that claimed the recipe 'uses PolkitQt6-1 backend to delegate to redbear-polkit D-Bus daemon'. In fact the recipe still uses -DKAUTH_BACKEND_NAME=FAKE, which is the most-portable option when PolkitQt6-1 is not available. Replace the TODO with a comment block that accurately describes the current state: the FAKE backend is used until a PolkitQt6-1 package is added to Red Bear OS; the polkit-1 and dbus backends are present in the upstream source tree but cannot be enabled without PolkitQt6-1 packaging; the redbear-polkit D-Bus daemon v0.2 is already the authoritative authorization source. --- .../UPSTREAM-SYNC-PROCEDURE.md | 22 ++++++++++--------- local/recipes/kde/kf6-kauth/recipe.toml | 7 +++++- 2 files changed, 18 insertions(+), 11 deletions(-) rename local/docs/{legacy-obsolete-2026-07-25 => archived}/UPSTREAM-SYNC-PROCEDURE.md (97%) diff --git a/local/docs/legacy-obsolete-2026-07-25/UPSTREAM-SYNC-PROCEDURE.md b/local/docs/archived/UPSTREAM-SYNC-PROCEDURE.md similarity index 97% rename from local/docs/legacy-obsolete-2026-07-25/UPSTREAM-SYNC-PROCEDURE.md rename to local/docs/archived/UPSTREAM-SYNC-PROCEDURE.md index 4afeb33055..677d6231bf 100644 --- a/local/docs/legacy-obsolete-2026-07-25/UPSTREAM-SYNC-PROCEDURE.md +++ b/local/docs/archived/UPSTREAM-SYNC-PROCEDURE.md @@ -1,20 +1,22 @@ # Upstream Sync Procedure for Local Forks -> **SUPERSEDED (2026-07-26):** The PCI-driver-spawner sections below were -> written during the 2026-07-20 consolidation, when PCI driver spawning was -> consolidated on `pcid-spawner`. **That model is obsolete.** +> **SUPERSEDED (2026-07-27):** This document's PCI-driver-spawner sections +> were originally written during the 2026-07-20 consolidation, when PCI driver +> spawning was consolidated on `pcid-spawner`. **That model is obsolete.** > `pcid-spawner` was **retired and removed** on 2026-07-24; > `driver-manager` (`local/recipes/system/driver-manager/`) is now the sole > live PCI match/claim/spawn daemon in every `redbear-*` config > (operator-ratified cutover, 2026-07-23/24).
