**Status**: The `iommu` daemon now builds in-tree, owns AMD-Vi runtime initialization, and also detects the presence of a kernel ACPI `DMAR` table so Intel VT-d runtime ownership can converge here instead of remaining conceptually stranded in `acpid`. Hardware validation is still missing in the AMD-first integration plan (see `AMD-FIRST-INTEGRATION.md`).
